The Project

Caval Pist (Pesto di Cavallo, horse meat) is a typical product of Parma, a treasure to be disseminated and valued in the most correct way.

The horse butchers scattered throughout the city offer this and other horse meat products, carrying on a centuries-old tradition.

The aim of the project is to create a portal where to insert:

  • characteristics of Pesto di Cavallo
  • list of horse butchers in the Parma area, with indications for each activity
  • list of restaurants / delicatessens / sandwich bars ... that use horse pesto regularly and enhance it
  • tourist routes linked to Pesto di Cavallo

Caval Pist is not just food, but tradition, culture, image of Parma and its areas.
